PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) - After more than two weeks of testimony, jurors in the trial of a Plattsburgh man charged with murder began deliberations Wednesday.

Prosecutors say 61-year-old Timothy Timmons shot Jhafari Joseph during a violent, drug-fueled confrontation at a Peru home in December 2024.

The defense argues that while the fight resulted in Joseph’s murder, it wasn’t Timmons who pulled the trigger.

Timmons’ wife, Kelly, as well as a third person, Chad Nichols, have also been charged in relation to the murder.

The jury on Wednesday asked for a readback of Kelly Timmons’ multi-day testimony.
