The landlord of a problem property which had 'squatters living in a van at the front' in a prestigious area of Birmingham has been ordered to carry out improvements.
Locals had repeatedly complained about the squalid state of the house on Barnsley Road in a conservation area of Edgbaston .
Rubbish was said to have been piled high and people reportedly living in a vehicle within the perimeter.

Coun Marcus Bernasconi said the property was licensed and had been served a community protection warning - a formal notice issued by police or other authorities to address yob behaviour - in the last 48 hours.
