DENVER (KDVR) -- Denverites can expect their water bills to be a little higher in 2026.
Denver Water announced Wednesday that the city's Board of Water Commissioners approved new, increased rates and a higher fixed fee, which will to go in effect in 2026. These will impact all customers in Denver and the utility provider's suburban distributor districts.
The utility provider said the increase is part of preparations for the future as Denver Water plans to invest $1.7 billion over the next 10 years into projects to maintain, repair and upgrade the system.
Monthly water bills will increase depending on where the customer is and how much water they use.
