DELPHI, Ind. (WNDU) - A court has granted additional time in the appeals process for Richard Allen in the Delphi murders case.
This comes after Allen’s attorneys said last month they wanted more time to put together their case for an appeal of Allen’s conviction.
A jury found Richard Allen guilty last year of murdering 13-year-old Abby Williams and 14-year-old Libby German in 2017. He was sentenced to the maximum sentence of 130 years .
According to our sister station WTHR , an appeals court judge granted Allen’s “Motion to Reconsider,” ruling:
Within 20 days of the order, the court reporter must file with the trial court clerk supplemental exhibits.
Withing five days of those exhibits being filed, a clerk must file an “Amended Notice of Completion of Transcript.”
