Consultants and a group of leaders from communities across Jasper County are close to submitting a final plan for a public transit system offering region service.

David Johnson, a senior project leader at the Florida-based TransPro, told the Joplin City Council Monday that the study is nearing its end and the group is scheduled to deliver an implementation plan in December for a transportation development district to be operated by a nonprofit entity. ×
