MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The South Carolina Forestry Commission is warning of dangerous fire weather this week following a front that moved through the state.
Very dry air and increased winds are expected following the front that passed through the state yesterday, impacting fire weather for Wednesday and Thursday.
The very dry air mass will bring relative humidity values down to the low 20s with sustained winds of 10-12 mph and gusts that could reach 20, according to SCFC.
SCFC adds that after Thursday, relative humidity should begin to increase, with moderate winds, and Friday temperatures will be much cooler and in the lower 40s and upper 30s.
Officials are urging extreme caution for anyone considering outdoor burning during this time and recommend postponing outdoor burns if possi
