GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Plenty of changes are coming to GRACE Marketplace in Gainesville, including who will own the land it sits on.
TV20 reporters spoke with the new CEO of the homeless shelter about the possibility of the city selling 30 acres of property to GRACE for $1.
Darius Williams took on the CEO role at the start of the month, and he says the move would open doors for his team.

“It just gives us more opportunities for funding so that we can further our mission and that is to end homelessness,” he said.
Last year, a city appraisal valued the land at about $4.6 million.
The resolution was initially proposed at the beginning of September before city commissioners decided to postpone the decision.
