Niagara-on-the-Lake will be substantially increasing its planning and building fees, as well as introducing several new fees beginning next year in an effort to make planning application processing pay for itself.
For instance, a zoning bylaw amendment application will cost $14,980, from the current $9,260, a 62 per cent jump in cost. A draft plan of subdivision application fee will be $18,880 from the current price of $10,400, an 82 per cent increase. A final subdivision plan approval application will cost $4,280 in 2026, compared to the current $1,975, a 117 per cent hike.
