HEBRON, Ill. — A man was said to have serious injuries after a car he drove crashed into a tractor in rural McHenry County.
Just before 8 p.m. on Monday, the McHenry County Sheriff's Office and several other first responders were called to a vehicle crash on Thayer Road west of Route 47.
An investigation revealed a car was driving west on Thayer when it hit a disk ripper attachment of a Case 620 tractor, which was going east.
The car suffered major damage, giving the driver, a 36-year-old man from Hebron, serious injuries. The man had to be rescued from the car as he became trapped.
Further investigation showed the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. Authorities think he may have been under the influence of alcohol.
