In case the worst happens, local first responders are ready — and more ready than they were at the start of the week, thanks to the Kentucky National Guard.
On Tuesday, members of the Somerset-Pulaski County Special Response Team as well as other local agencies trained with the 41st Civil Support Team, a part of the Kentucky National Guard that handles Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) threats.
