STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man accused of stabbing and killing his girlfriend on Monday appeared in front of a judge Wednesday for arraignment.
Standing next to his defense attorney with a bandage on his left arm, 67-year-old Stanley Mulvey of Stratford spoke only once during the arraignment, when the judge asked him to sign the transfer papers. His bail was set at $1 million.
According to the Stratford Police Department, Mulvey called 911 on Monday night saying that he had just stabbed his girlfriend, 62-year-old Megan McShane, and that he wanted to kill himself.
