WHITE SHIELD, N.D. (KMOT) - It’s said that more than two-thirds of kids five and younger need childcare since both parents work.

The demand for daycare is always growing, with parents often finding themselves on waiting lists.

For working parents in White Shield like Joel Cote-Kanning, access to reliable childcare is vital.

Cote-Kanning and other parents no longer need to worry, thanks to a local provider moving into a larger space.

“I’ve been very fortunate in that sense that these amenities and this service is here,” said Cote-Kanning.

Many Handed Childcare Center opened in 2018.

It’s currently the only such center in White Shield and provides care for children from six months to 12 years.
