SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. —

Back in December 2024, 17-year-old Kamel Seveion Sewell was killed in a collision involving a go-kart at Frankie's Fun Park in Greenville. Since his death, his mother Deldras Sewell has worked to ensure her son's legacy is honored and his memory kept alive.

Deldras started the nonprofit Forever 17, and the family has announced the launch of the "Forever 17 Christmas Drive" to help people in need as we quickly approach the holiday season.

Forever 17 will be collecting new or gently used winter coats, gloves, scarves and other winter clothing items.

Deldras said she wants to give back to the community in a way that her son chose to give back to the world and the people around him while he was physically here.
