ASHEVILLE, N.C. —
Both directions of Interstate 26 were briefly shut down Wednesday due to "150 hay bales" that caught fire, according to the Asheville Fire Department.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Asheville Fire Department responded to a fire of about 150 wattles that caused both directions of traffic on I-26 near Long Shoals Road to shut down for about 15 minutes.
The fire department said no injuries were reported in the fire.
