A judge Wednesday ordered the man accused of stabbing the former mayor of Fall River to be sent to Bridgewater State Hospital to undergo further mental health evaluation for the next three weeks.
Corree Gonzales, 31, was arrested after he was detained in connection with the stabbing of Will Flanagan Monday evening.
Flanagan was found suffering from stab wounds on Hartwell Street near the Cosmopolitan Dispensary, which is a marijuana dispensary he owns.
