1Teens arrested after failed armed carjacking attempt in Northeast DC

Washington, DC — Four teenage boys have been arrested and charged in connection with an early morning armed carjacking attempt in Northeast DC that ended with the suspects fleeing empty-handed after the victim managed to escape.

The incident occurred around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday in the 4200 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast. According to investigators, the victim was sitting inside their vehicle when a group of suspects approached. One of them allegedly assaulted the victim and demanded the car at gunpoint.

Instead of complying, the victim quickly rolled up the window and drove off. No property was taken, and the victim was not injured.
