Beloved former Bonner P.E. teacher returns for 'Miracle Moment' teaching PE class

TYLER, Texas — Bonner Elementary welcomed back a beloved former teacher who got to co-teach a P.E. class with the school's second grade class.

The room was buzzing with excitement Wednesday as students and staff welcomed Francis Stanfield into the gym. A former PE teacher with Bonner Elementary, Stanfield retired from the district in 2008 after nearly 20 years serving the district.

Now, Stanfield is a resident of The Hamptons of Tyler Senior Living. Through the facility's "Miracle Moments" program, she was able to return to the place where she found purpose and pride in helping students grow to their full potential.
