Ford has issued a safety recall for several popular models due to engine issues that could cause a fire.

Around 59,006 vehicles are affected by the recall, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration .

Documents filed with the highway safety agency stated that an issue with the engine block heater led to the recall. The engine block heater could crack and develop a coolant leak over time. This coolant leak could cause a short circuit when the engine heater is plugged in, which can lead to a fire.

The recall affects a mix of sedan, pickup, and SUV models sold across both the Ford and Lincoln brands, including:
