AURORA, Colo. (KKTV) -The Aurora Police Department (APD) said officers are searching for a suspect and vehicle accused of a hit and run on October 1 that left a man dead.
Police said the hit-and-run occurred just after 6 a.m. on East Hampton Avenue just east of Piccadilly. APD said a man was pushing a shopping cart when he was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound.
The man reportedly died from his injuries.
According to police, the suspect did not stop and may have continued driving toward Gun Club Road.
Officers said the vehicle involved in the hit and run was most likely a dark Chevy sedan, possibly an Impala, Malibu or Cruze, with damage to the front passenger side.
According to police, parts of the involved vehicle were found at the scene of the crash.
