APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - An Appleton bakery is promising to help people struggling amid concerns about the FoodShare program running out of funding.

It’s an act of kindness that’s garnered hundreds of reactions on social media and an outpouring of support from the community.

“Honestly, I hate that we have to do this because that’s something that should be funded and shouldn’t even be a question, but we’re happy to help,” says Breadsmith co-owner Shane Griesbach.
