Liverpool's drought-breaking win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League has been soured by a potential groin injury to star striker Alexander Isak.
Isak — Liverpool's 125 million pound ($257 million) off-season signing — was substituted off at half-time after experiencing discomfort in his groin, according to Liverpool coach Arne Slot.
"Let's hope it's not too bad," Slot said.
"It's such a difficult balance to find with a player that missed three months."
After sitting out of the pre-season to force a transfer from Newcastle to Liverpool, Isak has been gradually working his way back to full fitness with his new team.
The Swede was the second Liverpool player injured in the match, after right-back Jeremie Frimpong was subbed off in the 19th minute with a hamstring injury.
