ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Missouri’s attorney general and governor say they are working to tighten enforcement of vape sales after a First Alert 4 investigation exposed shops selling to underage customers.
A 17-year-old student in Arnold told First Alert 4 Investigates that buying vapes is easy at a shop near his school.
“I just walk into the vape shop, pick what I want, and they sell it to me. No carding, no questions asked,” the student said.
First Alert 4 then sent one of our interns into the shop to see if they would ask for identification. They did not.
“First of all, it was a great story,” Attorney General Catherine Hanaway said. “Thank you for doing it. It is a great risk to Missourians.”
