ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The YWCA of Metro St. Louis hosted a ceremony on Wednesday to recognize volunteers who advocate for sexual assault and domestic violence survivors during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The volunteers provide essential services and respond to crisis situations across the St. Louis region.

Eight volunteers and local organizations were recognized at this year’s ceremony.
