Heavily redacted report related to former Sunnyside City Manager Mike Gonzalez released to public

UPDATE : October 22 at 4:05 p.m.

The city has released the investigative report concerning workplace claims and administrative issues involving former City Manager Mike Gonzalez.

According to the city’s press release, the heavily redacted report is related to Gonzalez.

However, Gonzalez’s name is presumably blacked out in the report whereas Councilwoman Theresa Hancock’s name is mentioned dozens of times along with former Human Resources Manager, Irving Brown Sr’s name mentioned dozens of times as well.

The report also alludes to several of the allegations as being unfounded although names included in the allegations are redacted.

The city did not indicate the reasons for the numerous redactions.
