PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Authorities are responding to a shooting near Southeast 174th Avenue and Southeast Haig Drive, the Portland Police Bureau told KOIN 6.

A bureau spokesperson confirmed the shooting occurred near Centennial High School around 3:39 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, but the school is not on lockdown. PPB also said medical help has arrived to treat the person who was shot, although the extent of their injuries remains unclear.

Any TriMet routes in the area will be redirected as officers continue looking for the suspect.
