Boyd, 49, will officially leave the job he has held for the past nine seasons to become the OHL’s VP of hockey operations on Nov. 17. Article content Article content
No decision has yet been made on his replacement.
The 67’s, who last season missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014, opened the current campaign with six straight victories and currently sit third in the East Division with a 7-3 record.
Why is Boyd leaving the 67’s job for a position with the league?
“There’s not one reason,” said Boyd, a former left-winger who played four seasons in the OHL, including 55 games with the 67’s in 1994-95. “W
