LANSING, MI – A Michigan man accused of voting twice during the August 2024 primary election will serve six months of probation after pleading guilty.
Frank Prezzato, 68, of St. Clair Shores, pleaded guilty to one count of voting absentee and in-person in September.
If Prezzato successfully reaches all terms and conditions of the probation, his charges will be dismissed with prejudice at the end of the probationary period, according to a news release from Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.
“Voting twice undermines our democratic process,” Nessel said in a statement at the time of the plea. “My office will continue to prosecute those who violate our voting laws to ensure Michigan voters have confidence in the integrity of our elections.”
Prezzato was accused of appearing in person
