A man accused of causing a fatal crash in Hartford after fleeing a traffic stop on Sunday has died days after the collision, police said.

Officers responded to the report of a serious two-vehicle collision just before midnight on Sunday in the area of Albany Avenue between Homestead and Mark Twain Drive, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department .

Responding officers located a Ford Fiesta off of the south side of Albany Avenue against a fence and an Infinity G30 in the middle of the road in flames, Boisvert said.

The Ford driver, identified as 25-year-old Adrian L. Service of Hartford, was found unresponsive inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene after he was extricated from the vehicle, according to Boisvert.
