Attorneys for Bryan Kohberger requested a judge excuse the convicted killer from paying tens of thousands of dollars to the grieving families of two college students he slaughtered — arguing they have banked enough from GoFundMe donations.
Kohberger, 30, was previously ordered to pay roughly $290,000 in restitution when he pleaded guilty to savagely stabbing University of Idaho students Kaylee Goncalves, 21; Madison Mogen, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20; and Ethan Chapin, 20, to death in their off-campus home. 3
Prosecutors have now slapped the former criminology student with an additional restitution bill, requesting he shell out over $20,400 for Goncalves’ parents and roughly $7,000 for Mogen’s mother, Karen Laramie, to cover their travel expenses, court documents obtained by The Post
