Firefighters were battling a structure fire on Wednesday that broke out inside an office building in Pasadena.

The fire was reported around 5:47 p.m. at the General Motors office on the east side of town, according to Lisa Derderian with the Pasadena Fire Department.

During the response, a mayday was declared as fire crews attempted to locate a missing captain, Derderian said.

At least 60 firefighters were battling the blaze that lit up several batteries on fire, officials said.

It's unclear if anyone was injured.

NewsChopper4 was over the scene where at least a dozen firetrucks were lined up around the perimeter of the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
