GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Some creepy crawlers are back just in time for spooky season.
Experts tell FOX Carolina News they’re seeing an increase in spiders this fall. One of the most noticeable spiders they’re seeing is the invasive Joro spider.
“We’re seeing a lot of spiders right now because it is fall, and fall is what I call spider season,” Dr. David Coyle, an Associate Professor with the Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation at Clemson University, said.
The Joro are known for their size and for spinning large golden webs.
“It’s a big yellow spider!” Austin Hamilton, General Manager with Apex Termite and Pest Control, said.
