BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Nekole Predium, the Executive Director of Equal Steps Veterans Home, is facing two felony counts of issuing worthless checks out of Slidell.

The fraudulent checks total nearly 25,000 dollars overall according to records WLOX obtained from the Slidell Police Department.

We’ve learned those charges were filed by a financial institution inside a Slidell Walmart. This story all began to unravel Saturday when Predium was arrested in Long Beach for felony bad check charges.

That was the same day we learned the care facility she runs had announced it would be abruptly closing, giving the 16 residents who lived there only two days to find a new home.
