MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Dane County’s detox services could stay open into early 2026 — at least temporarily — after county leaders approved a short-term funding plan Wednesday to prevent a lapse in care.

The County Board’s Health and Human Needs Committee voted Wednesday to approve an amendment providing $325,000 to extend Tellurian Behavioral Health’s detox contract for several months while officials finalize a long-term plan for medically monitored treatment. The money will come from already existing funds, shifting dollars from miscellaneous operating expenses to detox services.
