MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Nearly 200 Mount Horeb residents gathered to listen and make public comments at Wednesday night’s planning commission hearing.

Around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, the commission still had not made a decision.

The long awaited meeting was set to determine the fate of a new multi-use building proposed by J&G Development Group.

The four-story building would have both apartment units and commercial spaces, which project planners expect would be good for the village’s economy. It would be built in the village’s historic downtown, on Main St.

While some Mount Horeb residents believe in the potential benefits, many spoke at the meeting against the development.
