LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Student artists at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) are teaming up with young artists from another school for a new mural.
The project is part of a partnership between the university and the Autonomous University of Chihuahua in Mexico. Students from both schools got together Wednesday to work on the painting.
The students say the mural will represent environmental and geological elements the two areas have in common.
“It’s funny because when we arrive here, I look out the window and it’s like, oh, we’re still in Chihuahua. It’s like really, really similar,” said UNLV student Diego Gonzalez.
The students expect to have the mural finished by Friday.
