A man is facing a felony charge for allegedly assaulting someone wearing an inflatable Donald Trump costume at a “No Kings” rally in Swampscott on Saturday, according to legal filings and published reports.

Michael J. Curll pleaded not guilty Monday in Lynn District Court to a sole count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, records show.

Judge Leo S. Fama released Curll on personal recognizance, according to legal filings. Curll’s lawyer didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment.

Video footage of the alleged attack posted to WHDH-TV appears to show Curll kicking the victim, putting him in a headlock, and shoving him into a railing after Saturday’s rally. The man was wearing an inflatable Trump suit and carrying an American flag.
