BRISTOLVILLE — Earlier in the season, Bristol and Columbiana played to a draw.
In the postseason, that isn’t an option. After 80 minutes, the teams were dead even once again.
Another 15 minutes couldn’t decide a winner as both teams frantically tried to end the game before sundown. With no stadium lights, the game had to be called due to darkness tied 2-2.
“The girls played hard,” Panthers coach Mike Armour said. “They played very hard. A lot of them didn’t get breaks, and it’s longer than an 80-minute game now, so I’m very proud of everyone.”
Annah Clemmer and Josie Hepler got the Clippers on the board.
Bristol went down 2-0 in the first half, but a goal from Indie’ona Jackson before the break cut into the lead and re-ignited the Panthers.
