A customer in Sydney has shared his outrage at a $23 salad sandwich, but opinions were divided over who should be ashamed.
A post in the ‘Foodies Sydney’ Reddit group displayed a photo of the unattractive sandwich - which was multigrain bread packed with tomato, cucumber, lettuce, spinach and sauce.
“This is what $23 for a salad sandwich on uber eats gets you,” the Reddit poster said.
The poster did not get the response they may have been expecting - as while some applauded the poster for calling out the expensive sandwich, others questioned why anyone would pay that much for a sandwich.
“It will stay like this until morons stop buying,” one said.
“That’s what you get for not wanting to leave your house for the most basic things,” a second added.
