Police on Wednesday confirmed a 28-year-old woman died from her injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident earlier this month in south Lubbock.

Deziree Combs died following the crash that also left a man injured shortly after midnight Oct. 15 near 135th Street and Indiana Avenue, according to Lubbock police.

Officers responding to the reported crash located Combs and 25-year-old Dawson Baker, who had both been on a motorcycle. Both were taken to University Medical Center, with Combs' injuries initially listed as serious and Baker suffering moderate injuries.

Through the initial course of the investigation, police believe the motorcycle was traveling south on Indiana Avenuewhen it veered off the roadway as the lane ended.
