A dangerous dog hearing was held on October 9 concerning Wyatt, the 4-year-old dog involved in an altercation that resulted in the death of another dog at the Cape Cod Dog Center in Mashpee back in August.

While the incident happened in Mashpee, Wyatt and his family live in Osterville. So Wyatt's fate rests with Barnstable Town Manager Mark S. Ells.

Barnstable Senior Natural Resources Officer Amy Croteau ran the hearing, which was held at Barnstable Town Hall.

Mashpee Animal Control Officer Donald Chicoine started the hearing with his report; he was one of the officers who responded to the altercation. Chicoine said he received a call from Cape Cod Dog Center owner Kailey Cullin about a dog bite incident at the facility the evening of August 27.
