“Nature vs. Machine,” featuring the work of painter Molly Chris White and ceramicist Mike Middlestead will be the show featured at Blue Whole Gallery during the month of November.
The theme explores the contrasting characteristics and interactions between the natural world and human-made technology. Nature represents organic complexity, adaptability and intricate systems. Machines embody precision, efficiency and the potential for both progress and disruption. Both artists bring to light their interpretations of this theme through the art they will have on display.
White is a former teacher and longtime artist whose focus on nature includes whimsical interpretations of animals.
