Mumbai, Oct 23: Bringing festive cheer ahead of Diwali, the Mumbai Police have returned lost and stolen valuables worth over Rs 13 crore to their rightful owners across the city as part of a special recovery drive launched this festive season.

A grand ceremony was held at the Mukesh Patel Auditorium in Vile Parle, where valuables worth Rs 6.45 crore, recovered by Police Zones 9 and 10, were handed over to citizens. The event witnessed emotional moments as people received their mobile phones, jewellery, vehicles, and watches, describing the return of their belongings as a true “Diwali gift” from the police.
