Costco has purchased a former Super 8 hotel next to the Costco store on Monocacy Boulevard in Frederick.

The 2.25-acre site of the Super 8 by Wyndham hotel at 20 Monocacy Blvd. was sold for $6.5 million, with the deed transferred on Sept. 30, according to records from the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation.
