OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha police officers issued a call for backup just before 5 a.m. Thursday near Hanscom Park.

The call was made after an officer deployed a Taser near 32nd Street and Ed Creighton Avenue.

Officers did cancel that request for backup shortly after the initial help and officer call went out.

KETV Newswatch 7 has a crew on scene, and a medic unit is there, though officials say the person refused any transportation to a hospital.
