'I was enjoying a night out in Yates - then I couldn't walk, talk or see properly'

A young woman catching up with schoolmates in Yates believes she was spiked with a needle after she started to shake.

Karena Shenton says she began to have spots in her vision, before she began struggling to walk or talk.

The 21-year-old care worker then started to struggle staying awake, and needed the help of security to get home safe.

The next morning, Karena noticed a small bruise on her leg where a man had brushed past her on the dancefloor.

It comes as police are investigating a double spiking incident from the following day inside the same venue, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports .

Karena had been out at the Yates in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire , on Friday night (October 17). The night b
