A 15-year-old boy has appeared in court accused of murdering teenager Mohanad Abdullaahi Goobe.

The suspect appeared at Manchester Crown Court today (October 23) via video link from secure youth custody.

Mohanad, also 15, died from stab wounds following a disturbance in Moss Side at around 4.30pm on September 15.

A court order means the suspect cannot be identified due to his age.

He spoke today only to confirm his name, before being told he would be remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance.

Judge Nicholas Dean KC, Honorary Recorder of Manchester, scheduled a hearing on November 24, when the suspect is expected to enter his plea to the charge of murder.
