Tess Daly has released a heartfelt statement following a joint announcement with Claudia Winkleman that they will both step down from Strictly Come Dancing after the current series. ‌

The popular BBC host, 56, said in a touching Instagram post this morning, October 23, that her 21 years on the programme were "unforgettable" and admitted it was "hard to put into words" her experience. ‌

Tess signed up to co-host the dancing show with Sir Bruce Forsyth for its very first edition in 2004. She said that she "knew it was something special" right away but "could never have imagined the magic it would bring". ‌
