Tess Daly has declared her love for one of her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars after they responded to her exit news with an emotional Sir Bruce Forsyth comment.

The broadcaster, who has been on the show since it started back in 2004, announced the news on Thursday (October 23) alongside co-host Claudia Winkleman , who will also leave at the end of the current series.

The pair have been hosting the show together since 2014, when Claudia was brought into replace Sir Bruce when he stepped down, having been hosting its weekday BBC2 companion show, It Takes Two.

In a joint statement shared on Instagram on Thursday, the co-hosts said they would be leaving the show together at the end of the current series.
