With about a week to go before Halloween, the Halloween spirit is in full swing.

You might already have your jack-o'-lantern out , and it’s a good time to stock up for the ghosts and ghouls who will be trick-or-treating. And nobody who chooses to hand out treats wants to be “that house,” the one kids mock or avoid because of the choice of giveaways.

But the favorite candy in each state isn’t a secret. Grocery-delivery service Instacart analyzes candy sales each October, looking at the most popular sweets by weight sold.
