HAU’ULA, Hawaii (Island News) – DJ Moses, a sixth grader at Hau’ula Elementary School, was honored as Hawaii’s “Kindest Kid in America” at a surprise assembly.

According to Kindest Kid America, DJ was chosen for his leadership, compassion, and acts that strengthen his community. Teachers describe him as a role model who includes everyone and inspires kindness.

During the assembly, DJ received a Kindest Kid in America Award and a children’s book created in his likeness. The initiative aims to promote more kindness and less hate and violence in schools nationwide.
